I was assisting an open water class on the Liberty. We were almost ready for the dive, the students were almost suited up, and it was time for me to put on the wetsuit. I had a lot of trouble getting my legs in the suit. It seemed really odd as it fit the week before, but I sprayed a bunch of conditioner on and finally got the legs situated. I then tried to put on the rest of the suit (a one piece) when I discovered I was putting on my 17 year old daughter's suit. So there I am with no wetsuit, supposed to assist 7 or 8 OW students and no way I am diving in that cold water.
Luckily for me, one of the crew was not diving and had a BIG wetsuit that fit my BIG belly. I felt like such a jerk! But the day was saved and a case of Sam Adams was definately earned by a crew member who rescued me. Oh Yea, and I promissed that I would not pee in his suit!
