We tried to make a foursome for a trip on the Liberty several years ago. My wife and I met up with a friend from San Diego and picked up another friend in Long Beach. We were all going to spend the night on the boat. As we neared Channel Islands Harbor, the guy from Long Beach announced that he forgot his reg. We turned around, got his reg and decided to sleep at my apartment in San Pedro until 3:00, then drive up again to be on the boat by 5:00. We finally made it with all our gear, only to have the trip blown out.
