You were told complete nonsense. Never go back to that store. They're either liars or ignoramuses. I use my 33 year old MK V with Nitrox. Age has nothing to do with it. I don't use silicon grease on any of my regs, and titanium regs are for people with more money than sense-do not use titanium around HP O2. Other than that, nothing special. I've been doing this for ten years and I know what I'm talking about. "Nitrox compatible" regs are a marketing ploy. End of story. If you're nervous about it, you can pay extra to get Viton o rings-not convered under parts warranties-but this a waste of money for mixes under 40%.
