They let you use it 30 days for free. Set the absolute maximum amount you wanna pay & then forget it.
You'll either win the auction or ya don't have to kick yourself in the butt with "geez, for only $1 more..."
I suggest going with the 30 seconds, anything less than that on a Sunday evening (busiest time for ebay) may get bogged down.
