I have been out with the Farallons company (GGE) and been to Gudalupe as well. While we saw only two Great Whites at the Farallons in an entire day (one was 14 feet the other about 18 feet) I was more than impressed with the multiple Great Whites we saw in Gudalupe. Mind you the Gudalupe dive trip is a 5-7 day live aboard, but if you want to get into Great Whites here in the state it's the only way to go.
I agree with the last poster that the Farallons also makes an amazing dive site without the Whites, but after seeing them in person, I will be taking that destination off my list, unless there is a cage handy!
Check out the website for pictures and a shot of me (I think) in the cage at Gudalupe. Lawrence Groth is the boat captain (local) and a great guy.
