With still a month to go until Chamber Day and Evening (Wednesday, May 1), momentum keeps building with the Jon Hardy Chamber Challenge, a way to honor the memory and life's work of Jon Hardy while we raise money for the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber.
Kendall Raine is our latest Gold donor, giving a $1000 donation (matching what he did last year). Kendall is one of many dedicated divers who understand the need for our recompression Chamber, and are willing to rise to the occasion when it comes time to fun it, as our Chamber must raise over half of it's annual budget from outside sources.
At the same time, Scuba Toys in Cypress has become the latest dive shop to support our Chamber at the silver level worth a $500 donation. Scuba Toys owner Jim Hoffman is one willing to put his money where his mouth is and has long been a supporter of our Chamber. Jim also recognizes the need for a Chamber like ours, and even though our collective fervent hope is never to have to use it, our Chamber provides a vital safety net when the need arises.
Your donation, of any amount, helps as well. Last year through the Challenge produced a little over $21,000 and we'd like to see if we can exceed that this year. But we can't do it without your help.
