The good skiff now has a 2001' Yamaha 100HP 4 stroke tiller. I replaced my trusty Merc 90HP last September and have since put 150 hours on the Yamaha. (8 trips to SCI and 7 trips to SNI, 1 trip to Bishop) The engine has run flawlessly and i am hoping that it continues to do so.

The good skiff carries 54 gallons below the deck in (4) portable 12 gallon tanks and (1) 6 gallon tank. I can carry an additional (4) 5.5 gallon tanks on deck if needed. On that trip i brought 65gals, ran 199nm and brought home 18 gals. That works out to 4.23nm per gal which is about 1nm per gallon more than the Merc 2 stroke.

Seahunt, the spring winds snapped back after the lull. The tanner buoy was gusting to 24kts this morning. Mother nature's way of protecting fish~
