I can tell you from personal experience that, on the average LJ day, if you plan on rounding that point you better have eaten your wheaties. The current usually trucks right there. And you can't always count on a lucky kayak encounter should you get in trouble...

-- I did find one or two small rocky outcrops just outside that little cove, but nothing I'd write home about. It is good for clams though, I brought back 9 on Saturday, which is all my bag would hold. I didn't see any real fish. I did see one baby Sargo, though...
