These are essentially shrunk-down versions of PODs that have been around for a while. The company is talking about making two versions, one for swimmers and a somewhat larger one for divers. Although the main unit is reasonably compact (straps onto your thigh), it involves a fairly large antenna hanging off the diver. So they don't look very convenient to me for regular use, although you might consider strapping one on if you're going to be swimming around wounded fish in, say, the Revillagigedos ...
