Rodale's Scuba Diving, for whom Jon Hardy wrote for many years (both the "Lessons for Life" column and all the Scubalab gear reviews - Scubalab was generally based out at the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber) has agreed to donate $1000 to the Jon Hardy Chamber Challenge and will become a Gold level supporter of the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber.

We sincerely appreciate the fact that Rodale's is willing to honor Jon's work and memory with such a significant contribution. As you may know, Jon's life was truly dedicated to trying to make scuba a safer sport and trying to help divers become smarter about their diving choices. Rodale's contribution will help the Catalina Chamber not only treat those in need to hyperbaric attention, but to also further Jon's teaching and ideals through the Chamber's educational programs.

In addition to Rodale's contribution, longtime Chamber supporters Mike Emmerman & Patricia Stockhausen have also made (for the 4th year in a row) a $1000 contribution to the Challenge through the "The Mike Emmerman and Patricia Stockhausen Foundation." Mike and Chamber Director Karl Huggins have been friends for years and Mike and Patricia continue to support Karl and the Chamber is hyperbaric treatment and research.

These two donations put us at $11,270, with 2½ weeks to go until Chamber Day (May 1, in case you forgot). We still need your help.
You can sign up on the web at "www.chamberday.org" . . . OR . . . you can mail a check to: Chamber Day, 8612 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211 (make it payable to either Reef Seekers or Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber and write "Jon Hardy Chamber Challenge" on the memo line) . . . OR . . . you can call us at 310/652-4990 and do it all over the phone. (All donations are tax-deductible as the Chamber is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization FIC 95-1642394, CGEC ONAF5.)

So . . . WHO'S NEXT?????
