It was a strange dive. I saw the slate and picked it up. As I turned, I saw a UK light that still worked. I picked it up and found another UK light a few feet away that was disintegrating before my eyes. On another dive a few years ago at Long Point, I found a slate. As I pulled it from the sand, I saw a compass on the slate and a large cave reel clipped to it. Cool find! At the same site this year I found a speargun in good shape. That's the only reason for diving at popular sites. Finding gear!
