Chamber Day works because the dive boats generously donate a day to us to try to get a bunch of you to go diving. The 15 SoCal dive boats donating their services this year are (in alphabetical order): Aquatica, Bottom Scratcher, Cee Ray, Encore, Great Escape, Horizon, Iron Eagle, Island Time, Magician, Mr. C, Pacific Star, Sea Bass, Sundiver, Too Deep, and Westerly.
But we know that some of you can't take the day off. For you, we have gone to great lengths to charter . . . The Flying Dutchman. (BTW, if you haven't read the hilarious thread on this BBS called "Flying Dutchman" it's well worth the time. Truly captures the spirit of what this event should be all about.)
As you know, the Flying Dutchman is a mythical boat that sails the oceans for eternity without ever coming into port. So what better choice for those who can't dive than a boat that doesn't really exist? Those who sign up for the Flying Dutchman will receive 5 daytime raffle tickets like everyone else, a special Chamber Day t-shirt that says “Flying Dutchman Crew - Chamber Day 2002,” and there will be a special "on-board" raffle available only to those who sign up for this boat. (The full list of current Dutchman crew members is below.)
