LA county has programs, several colleges have good programs. Something to consider, diving is an expensive sport. If your pinching pennies, you may want to wait until it becomes something you can afford. Too many people get certified, then don't continue because of money. Years later they jump back into water w/o refresher training, and end up in trouble. Once certified, you realy need to do a bunch of diving.
