(Not to sound like a commercial, but the trip Chris refers to is the Reef Seekers wide-open trip to Santa Barbara Sunday on the Great Escape. That being said . . .)

Remember the wise words of Dr. George Fishbeck, my mentor when I was doing for weather for KABC-TV:

"No man can predict the future."

What your'e looking at are predictions. They've been right in the past and they've been wrong in the past.

However, I can almost guarantee this: If you choose to go, the weather/swell will be crappy and you'll wonder why you didn't trust your instincts. If you choose to stay home, the weather/swell will be flat and you'll kick yourself for missing some great diving.

Bottom line - You can't win, so why not just come out and dive? You'll have a good time, I'll make some more money off you, and you can bitch and moan to me all the way home if it's not a nice day.
