I have never felt handicapped having cylinders on both sides (I have had up to 3 on each side), If properly attached it doesn't limit your movements and provides two convenient arm rests :) I use Billy-D wrings and can disconnect my stage within a few seconds if necessary, if you cant do this you shouldn't be diving any side mount cylinders..
