OMS is not bad Dive Rite and OMS happen to be the leaders in technical diving equipment. They are in N.Y. They are a little pricey. OMS has some things better than Dive Rite and vice versa. The OMS Qpac is excellent. There steel plate is more expensive than some others. It is your choice who you give your money to. The people that rag on OMS are the people with danglies and self made equipment and swear it is better or just as good.
You would be better off to tune these supposed experts out.
