Unfortunately this type of thing is not uncommon. Im sure others on this board could go on and on about it. Let me just say that we as individuals can only do what we can do when in contact with these situations. All tech stuff aside, my personal response is to intervene. If pressing the boat capt. for immediate response and the DM weather this means people would think I over reacted or not does not matter to me. Get that person evaluated by appropriate personnel, start fluids, and 100% O2. She may be ok without a trip to the chamber but who is to say what the out come can be while these things are playing them selves out. This particular event sounds like some were lacksidasical about things for what ever reasons. One thing I know do not count on the inflicted diver to make decisions for themselves.
