I am going to go north of Bodega Bay in about two weeks, maybe about 6 miles up
( Portugese Beach).
I am wondering the same thing.
Curiosity is overwhelming me.
I'll let you know.
Some I have talked to say they are are hard little suckers to catch. They scamper quickly and are good with those claws. Bring your 6" guage and take the males (skinny little tail on the bottom side and more meat in the body).
Or you can do it the easy way and just throw some traps out and do a couple dives while they soak, then pull 'em up on the way back.
Good luck.
