Nice report, and I also was fortunate to spend a weekend at Two Harbors--on the camp ground, though. It is a special place.
About your son, maybe a good book on underwater adventure will ignite his love of the silent world. I remember reading one of Hans Hass' books as a boy, and I was hooked ever since (45 years ago). Imagination is much stronger than a pre-produced video image, even stronger than the real experience which just might not have been so exciting that day.
