I did mention the RDP in an example of rumors being bandied about like truth -- I did not recommend running out and buying one. I simply referred to a argument on this BBS in which a poster purported that the RDP (Recreational Dive Planner -- PADI'S Dive Table) had some flaw for repetitive dives. The poster went further and claimed to have knowledge that there was a coverup going on. This was clearly refuted, but the fact that the accusations were out tere and the poster believed them to be true and would not accept reports of the original researchers until after speaking to his source for the rumor.

And, for those who care, the RDP comes in two styles. A flat table and the "Wheel" which you mentioned. The wheel is particularly useful for multilevel dives. But I have to say that I always prefer it to a flat table because it is so fast and easy to use. None of that adding of RNT to ABT to get TBT stuff. It is automatic with the Wheel.
