The Greater Los Angeles Council of Divers is pleased to announce that it has arranged for Dr. Roy Houston to present the Third Annual Fish Identification seminar. The presentation will be held from 1-5 p.m. Saturday June 8 at Cabrillo Aquarium.

This free event is open to divers, snorkelers, tide-poolers, and any interested member of the community. (A donation to the Cabrillo Aquarium is strongly encouraged.) The seminar will include a short introduction to the value that recreational divers add to the understanding of the health of the marine environment by conducting Fish Count dives, from 1-2 p.m., followed by the GAFC presentation from 2-4 p.m. We will then visit the Cabrillo Aquarium from 4-5 p.m. to practice our newly acquired fish identification skills.

A second, abbreviated presentation will be given by GLACD President Eric Frasco at the July Dive N'Surf Dive Team meeting, Wednesday, July 17th at National Sports Grill in Torrance, 7 p.m.

Please Pre-Register (requested but not required) for the these events at the GAFC web page: http://www.fishcount.org/
