Well said Sharklover. I've dived several times in Hawaii with sharks that are known to cause bites. (Mostly Hammerhead). But all of the bites that I have heard about were made on Swimmers or Surfers. It's believed that the sound that a splashing hand makes in the water is similar to the sound of a dying fish, and this is what prompt the shark to bite.
