trekking it down is a cinch. Getting it back up is the killer. You wait and see that the stairs in Laguna Beach are not much different but you can tread much safer ;-)
Anyway, each of the LB sites is worth the trek, even at 1000 steps. But Palos Verdes has a few good ones too. Not necessarily Christmas Tree Cove, but Old Marineland is very nice. Free parking too.
