Can you name one wreck that the local charters visit with recreational divers? The few wrecks within 130 fsw are deteriorated and have been picked over longer that the CA Wreck Divers have been around. I'd be willing to bet that most of the pillaging you are refering to goes on a lot deeper than any captain will take an open boat, or only on wrecks that are unknown to the masses. If you are upset that there are no brass portholes on the Avalon or the Olympic II, perhaps you should have gotten certified decades ago.
