If it was not for the CA wreck divers you would not know about most of wrecks out there. The ones you did stumble upon you would not know what your are looking at until a wreck diver pointed it out and explained it to you.
Think about? When was the last time you saw a wreck artifact diving on your own?
If it was not for the presentations these divers make, for example at the upcomming Scuba Show in Long Beach, you would not even be aware of the history that is deteriorating away.
With a more open mind you should be thanking them for the education in California History.
You can dive with the club and learn more of what is out there or do nothing a whine about it. It is your choice.
