Let me guess... Yor were on the south side of the pier right? I've thought about diving there many many times myself, but after my 'Ventura Pier' diving experience, I'm a bit hesitant (the fisher-people were trying to catch me! Everyone casting at me!). Good job on the Halibut... I've been seeing them more and more on recent beach dives (though have not attempted to take one this year... yet...).
I still can't forget about the monster sheephead from the last november dive (Covenant).
