I had just recently started DMing through RPDC in 8/2000. The elements that made that shop cool are now up at the new shop in Windsor, even more so.
Right now, I have commitment to DM an O/W class at Gerstle the weekend of Eric's party. We try to shcedule the classes a 3-4 months in advance. I was at Van Damme 3 weeks ago and will be there again on the weekend of 7/27. Try to hitch a ride on a boat out of the cove for the best diving. Inside the cove, the big kelp bed in the middle can be fun. It seems to have decent viz (OK, 5-6 ft) when the rest of the cove has 1 ft viz. It's very shallow (~15 ft), but I had fun playing in it last time. I like to go under to the middle of the bed see opportunities to go where it's light or where it's dark, then choose dark.
