I don't understand all the whinning about the price of dive boats in SOCAL.
I dive Maui every six months, just as an example,
the price of a three tank trip there with a good boat is over twice what it cost here.
Not one person complains, then you read "trip reports" on this board from people that have been diving there and similar places and everyone raves, no complaints about the price just raving about the diving.
If you can't afford to dive or don't want to pay the price just find something else to do.
My experience with "most" boats here is that they are charging less than they should for what they give, with the exeception of one boat here in San Diego, well maybe two operators, one of which should rething even being in the business.
