I'd like to know how we are pricing ourselves out of business?
Insurance just went up $3000.00 for the next year on my boat.
CG charges $600.00 a year to inspect boats. CG makes us install a
fire system that averaged $3500.00 a couple of years ago. CG made all
T vessels install new life rafts @ around $2000.00 each, and many
boats needed several of them.
Now the cost to keep of the above in working order. FYI the fire system
was because of an uninspected boat that caught fire. Not a CG inspected boat.
Life rafts were because of a problem on the Atlantic Ocean, not here
I could go on and on. You are right, but its not us who is demanding
the increase, oh and don't forget fuel.
Tim
