I think if the average So Cal diver really looks at the dive boat rates they are really a good deal . I used to fish long range fishing boats out of San Diego . The boat I used to fish is now $272 a day . I just booked a 3 day dive trip out of Santa Barbara at $400 . If dive boat rates seam a bit high consider joining a dive club . Club rates are an even better deal . I would hate to see Tim throw his hands in the air and sell the boat . He has a great crew , a well laid out boat and is a dependable boat captain . I am sure the maintance issues dig deep into all boats . Please remember the air quality people just made all comercial boats owners replace their engines . That in itself was a major reinvestment in the boat . No I do not work the boat . Just a guy who dives it a few times a year . dawhale
