While on a good day at a course-sand beach it is possible to come out of the water looking sandfree, the sad truth is that you will still have sand in your gear. Swiming along the bottom near the end of the dive there is a fair bit of suspended sand flowing in/around/through your gear. I tend to discover it much later in hidden pockets. Or I will manage to pour fine sand into a clean car from some mystery location in my clean, dry gear.

Play at the beach and you will play in the sand.
