All four certification dives at San Carlos in Monterey. Wouldn't really call them "beach" diving though, although we did cross the sand and walk into the ocean.
I loved it. But then again I already had a really nice well fitting suit from freediving. The rest of my classmates froze. Vis sucked, but it didn't matter because we spent the entire time sitting on our knees. We kicked around a bit towards the end.
I was so in love with the whole SCUBA thing that it really didn't matter how bad it was, I was bound and determined to have fun.
