A refresher course and going out iwth a very experienced local diver are both excellet ideas. My diving motto is that if someone ask the question "should we abort the dive" or "should we not dive in these conditions" the answer is always yes. To translate that to your situation, since you asked the question, you obviously, at some gut level feel you should eihter have refher training and/or a guided dive. I also agree as that is what prudance dictates. Diving has changed in the past two years, and there are many potentially life threating things which you may have forgotten or not practiced in a long time.
