So is that 217 lbs a 4 feet short guy or 7 feet really skinny Boris Karloff? You can have two totally different guys with two totally different rigs. With only one thing in comon: both guys will weight 217lbs and both rigs will weight 100lbs and both guys will need 14lbs to sink in salt water. When you move them to fresh though they will need different weight adjustment. So just having your weight is not enough to calculate it.

Anyway... It's not really worth splitting the hair. splash and try should work just fine.
