Let's assume hypothetically

Diver (human+ rig + weights) displaced SWD of salt water.
In fresh water, diver would displace same amount, which would weight 97.5% of his SWD.

So on one side of the scale we put water he displaced
On other side of scale we put diver in his rig and with weights.

his SWD had to weight exacly as much as him to make him neutral
so his FWD has to weight exactly as much as him to keep him neutral

Since his FWD is 95% of his SWD, he needs to weight 95% of his salt water weight to make it equal.

So take his total weight and take off 2.5 % of it off the belt :)

In other words I was wrong and Karl, Kendall and Eins and lance were very much right.
