Having run a BBS and wound up in court over the postings I say that editing must take place by the moderators. This is the only way to stay legal and maintain a topic related site.
As to keeping this site CA only… I would like it if this site included posts about other places end events good and bad, SCUBA Related that is.

What will distinguish this BBS from the others are the users that post, not the topic of the posts. The flaming and anonymous posting is what makes for an un-happy experience.
I would like to see the site stay SCUBA related, however, it is a very fine line as to the other content that you as the moderator must decide stays or goes. You have been doing fine thus far.
The only change I would like to see is; Forced email registration. This will do away with the bull.
