My 2 cents-
I like reading about dive spots in California, conditions,
etc., but I also like reading about California divers
going to other locations and their opinions of them.
Knowing if someone recommends a particular operator and
for what reasons can be very handy. I get the feeling
that a lot of CA Divers travel to warmer climes and their
opinion AS a CA Diver is of interest to me.
But having run a BBS before it is your board and you
have the final say.
I only have an issue with Rule ii - "ii.Use your real e-mail
addresses.", and how that relates to rule iii -
"iii.You must be reasonably courteous. Criticism should be
supported by rational arguments." I see several people on
here who post without valid email addresses and do not support
their posts with facts or rational arguments that attack others.
I realize they are just trying to bait people and stir up trouble
but if you are going to enforce rule i, you should probably
think about enforcing the rest of your rules also no matter your
own personal prejudices.
Email address registration would be nice.
