I had a similar problem when I first started out, someone recommended Adventures in Diving in Laguna, they used to have a sunday morning dive. I always lucked out and dove with a group of people willing to deal with my "newness". The real advantage is it was a beach dive, if you couldn't find anyone to dive with all you lost was time (+gas). If this doens't work, drop me a line, I'll dive with you in 2 weeks.
