It sounds like the upwelling. I know that happens sometimes when the offshore
Santana Winds blow the upper warmer layer of water out to sea. It usually pulls up
cold clear water from the depths. The visibility should have been much better in the
colder water. I have seen the visibility in Malibu when it was incredible. Watch the
ocean temperatures. When it suddenly drops five degrees, it might be good vis for a
dive.
