Commercial season for harvest opens the 1st Wednesday in October....just like it used to for sport divers and fishermen. Some rookies don't realize how good those extra 4 days are to us. Dive safe, and don't take any big females for the good of us all. Big males are fair game.
p.s. Just try to be a commercial trapper, and see how many crewmwmbers are ahead of you to get a licence when one opens, how much it costs, and how much you really get per pound from the landings...hmmm, with all that cash why do their boats look like that?
