I can't help it but wonder, why would the brave
soul above,that promotes direct confrontations wouldn't even have the guts
to post his own name.
Avoiding confrontations, or hiding behind a bigger gut????
I was teaching the class in Avalon along with Wayne, when I saw everything
that was going on that day. It is not our business to confront air head
instructors, but we are encouraged by PADI to bring the situation to theit
attention. I personally think, that there were standard violations in the
conduct of this class. Wayne had mentioned the mask, snorkel/reg and fins
problem, but what about the direct instructor supervision. The standards
call for the instructor being in the water at all times, while his students
are. This juvenile stood ouitside of the water with his fins in his hand,
which would prevent him from an immediate response in case of need.
I think the biggest wound was done to his ego. He was complaining about lost
credibility, but he has none in first place. Had he had some common sense,
he wouldn't endanger his students, but make sure thay have a pleasurable
experience.
By the way,who ever you are, obviously you don't give too much credibility
to yourself, or you would definitely grace us with your identity.
