I twisted an ankle in those little rocks a few years ago and it was sore for two months. Now I only enter and exit at RAT beach. I enjoy the swim from there. Once I am out, I fully inflat ethe BC and swim on my back. I find it peaceful and pleasant in both directions. Once over the reef area, I start the underwater part of the dive.

I never seem to mind the vis, since I never have need to see more a few ahead of me at any time there because of the reef structure.

For the trip back up, I often have the family, a kayak on wheels, boogie boards, etc. I can use the yak as my wheel barrow on the way back up the hill. At night, it always worse and it is just me walking up that long, long uphill road.
