I keep threatening to move my second second-stage to the neck, but I use it too often in normal diving. I often act as a air tank for others who are airpigs. I have done this in classes and in real openwater dives. For example, I have shared with divers on long underwater swims back to an exit point to ensure they had enough air to make it back under boat traffic and through the surf zone. Not planned in advance, mind you, but when the plans of others fell apart.
