VanDamme is fairly well known as a great spot for abs. Its a discrete secret, although anyone with much ab freediving experience knows about it.
There are closer and better spots.
For novice freedivers, I usually tell them about Anchor Bay. It takes a few seasons to learn about VanDamme. By then, they will have learned to respect a really nice ab site.
