Some benefit, but not as much as you would receive using it during deco or saftey stops. You might want to seriously consider the fire hazard involved with high concentrations of O2 (plus special tanks and regs). My suggestio would be to consider using Nitrox on your dives instead of 02 on the surface. Getting a good nights rest, staying hydrated and warm are probably going to result in safer diving regardless of what you finally decide to do.

The point about 02 toxicity mentioned earlier should also be considered. Pure O2 has an inpact on your system, one of the reasons I don't use anything above 80% (plus the fire harzard).
