Breathing O2 at increased partial pressure will reduce the rate of nitrogen uptake thus reducing your residual N2. Hanging a tank with 100% at 15 to 20 fsw would be effective. You only then have to run profiles to see how your time is managed. Breathing O2 at the surface is ok for treating DCS and AGE, it would be insignificant as far as your residual nitrogen times are concerned. For further reading on how oxygen effects you, there are many publications in print.
