Was on a channel islands trip two weeks ago and saw two black sea bass. Huge creatures, very beautiful as well. Both seemed to be in an unharmed state. The captain had told us before we entered the water that NO ONE was to harm the bass at all. At least some people have their heads screwed on straight.
