The 18 mm in particular is just not replaceable.
There were only about 200 made, and I've never
seen one come up on e-bay. Those who have them
won't let go of them. So insurance wouldn't
have done any good.
Amos, BTW, is a really good pro specializing in
the big animals (whales, dolphins, etc.).
