The Monastery Crawl is used at Monastery Beach which
is short and steep and faces straight into the
NW swells. There's usually a lip in a
couple of feet of water that can be very difficult
to walk over, so walking out can be difficult,
esp. for short folks, even if it's flat.
It is generally not used on other beaches unless it
gets pretty snotty.
