It's somewhat hidden (or invisible) on the website, but I believe you can subscribe to the freediver list by sending an email to:
freedive-list-REQUEST@freediver.net
with "subscribe" in the subject field.
If that doesn't work, you can get human help by emailing:
list-support@freediver.net
I'm not involved in running the list, just a subscriber for the past year.
